Light energy is delivered by the laser/IPL and absorbed by the hair follicle.  This light energy heats the pigment and destroys the cells that are responsible for hair growth.  Once the cells are destroyed the follicle can’t regrow so hair is gone for good!

We use a state-of-the-art Laser and Intense Pulsed Light system (IPL) called the Lynton Lumina.  Approved by the NHS & private hospitals in the UK, the Lumina provides the very best in clinical results and speed of treatment.

The number of sessions required varies from client to client dependant on many factors however, as a guideline it is always recommended to complete a course of at least six sessions per area treated.

The hair follicles are damaged by heat but the hairs remain in the follicles. The dead hairs shed after 1 – 3 weeks as the epidermis renews. During this period the hairs will seem to ‘grow’ as they are pushed out by the new epidermis.

Treatments can take as little as 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area.
